Many in Congress being in agreement with the President have failed to uphold Article 4 section 4 of the US Constitution and sold out to special interest by another quote in the same document:

The government has refused to enforce the law of labeling GMO foods.
The congress blocks legislation to stop the TSA groping.
The Senate refuses to pass the Audit the Federal Reserve Bill.
The Congress raised the debt ceiling regardless of the public outcry not to barrow anymore money.
Congress never challenged no President’s executive orders that assault personal liberties and state’s rights.
The congress have shrieked from their Constitutional obligations to hold the President accountable going to war without their consent.
The congress has ignored the right of habeas corpus, the right of assistance of council of the accused and a speedy public trial with the NDAA:

For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences
Does Guantanamo Bay or CIA rendition sites ring a bell taking people designated as enemy combatants without evidence using secret evidence the accused does not have the right to know and confront their accusers. The accused is subject to Military Tribunals being deprived a jury of their peers in a jurisdiction alien to our constitution called the Admiralty court the founders despised.
Washington DC, all three branches of government have colluded to squash state’s rights.
He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.
When the Texas State Senate was going to pass the Anti TSA groping bill. The US Department of Justice threatened the Senators that Texas will be a no fly zone if the bill became law. Yes the DOJ said Texas would be a no fly zone with fighter jets threatening to shoot down passenger jets if the TSA would not be allowed to stick their hands down people’s pants.
When Governor Perry said the state will not go along with the new EPA’s greenhouse gas regulations that will kill jobs in Texas with the refineries and power plants. The EPA said they will take over issuing the greenhouse gas permits reserved for the State of Texas.
The US government will not enforce the Immigration laws going after employers who hire them. This is furthering displacing American workers.
They refuse to secure the border. The ordered the border patrol not to stop people crossing the border.
The US government funded advertising in Mexico to come up to the US to get on food stamps.
What really should outrage the American people is the miscarriage of justice when Federal agents without consequence with another grievance:

Has anyone went to jail for the murder of Vicky Weaver and Sam Weaver at Ruby Ridge. Did anyone stand trial for murder when the Branch Davidians had their church burn to the ground. Was any of the ATF and FBI agents charged for murder? No
Has President Obama respected the will of the people when congress did not pass Cap and Trade? Neither did Congress object President Obama using the EPA regulation and rule making mechanism to implement cap and trade when congress did not pass the bill into Law implementing a carbon tax. King George III did the same thing:

What is more obvious to the threat to our liberties is a standing Army. The States under Article 1 section 8 in the Constitution have the right to appoint officers for the state defense forces as follows.
To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;
To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;
If there was to be a standing Army. It was to be disbanded over a certain period of time as the Constitution says:
To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years;
It is been way longer than two years. No we see the Military involved in civilian law enforcement further encroaching on the State and Local government. They are conducting training drill without notice to the public to do hostile takeovers of local governments and states. Another grievance the founders had being a threat in their faces:

The standing army is under UN and NATO command, no longer under the jurisdiction of congress that can go to war regardless if congress opposes the war or not being under the command of a foreign power which is unconstitutional. The Red Coats and the Pentagon have one thing in common when it comes to state’s rights and a sovereign government

Still congress is silent and does nothing to stop the President starting wars. Still some in congress wants to arm the mercenaries in Syria who have not threatened or attacked us. A war the people do not want. Back in 1776, The English empire was at war with not just the colonies. They were at war in many places in the world in the name of conquest.
In 2014 Obamacare will be fully implemented with IRS agents and other bureaucrats harassing Americans who refuse to buy health insurance. There will be many new taxes. Not to mention the taxing agency will go out and attack the President and Congress’s enemies who pose a threat. The founders had the same problem as Thomas Jefferson said so eloquently:

The Founders lived under a tyranny as we are today. The tyranny they lived under was a lot less than we live under today. The colonist went to war with a lot less. We are under a greater tyranny today than back in 1776. The colonist were patient even to put up with a certain degree of tyranny

Still there comes a certain point when the people can no longer live under a despotic ruler. The come to the realization they can do better on their own being free from the banking system of England and the mercantilism of the kings cronies. Today we are under the same economic warfare being waged against the economy.
Today Texans are trying secede from the Federal Government and be a sovereign republic.
Seven counties in Colorado are wanting to secede from the State of Colorado, not because of the gun ban. The other reason is UN Agenda 21 making it impossible to make a living and survive with the draconian rules imposed.
The Lakota nation declared their independence because the US Government never honored the treaties with the native Americans.
The idea of secession from several states have talked about secession since the reelection of President Barrack Obama. The EPA shutting down power plants, the enforcement of Obamacare and the President saying he will sign the UN Small Arms Trade Treaty when congress is not in session so he can sign an executive order to enforce the treaty without two thirds of the Senate to ratify the treaty can be the perfect storm causing states to declare independence. President Obama like King George III have abused their powers going beyond the Constitution.
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism
The Constitution never gave Obama this power to usurp Congress and the States. The ultimate power resides with the people as again the Declaration of Independence says:
deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed
We never consented to the US Government and Obama to do what they are doing walking all of over our God given rights. So what choice do we have? The White House and Congress no longer responds to the will of the people. The respond to the masters who are the corporations and the bankers on Wall Street. They seek to loot the private pension funds and personal bank accounts. They are desperate to disarm the people so they can carry out their tyranny plundering the US economy to render all the people poor and desperate.
Washington DC is broken beyond repair. No matter how many conservatives, libertarians, patriots and tea party people we try to elect to send to congress. Nothing changes. Both political parties are corrupt and out of touch with the people. The elections will not fix nothing because of the electronic Diebold machines steal the elections. There are too many unconstitutional laws to repeal to make a long lasting effect.
The only solution back in 1776 as it is in 2013. That is start with a clean slate and wipe the table clean and start fresh as the Founding Document breaking us free from the king of England still speaks today that is self evident what we must do and what we known all along that we have the right to sever our political ties as Thomas Jefferson resonating the will of the colonist:

It is the right and duty of the people to secede when government no longer secures the rights of the people nor protects the citizens from force and fraud. When government commits and defrauds the people using force under the color of law to achieve its ends for special interest like Monsanto, General Electric and Goldman Sachs. When the US government does not protect people from criminal acts of the bankers foreclosing on homse they never owned. It is time to alter or abolish political ties to secure our freedom and posterity.
We have a right to secede no matter what the President says that we have no right to. The government has become destructive and is now a threat to the American people. It is corrupt and now criminal. We have the free will to support a criminal government or to break away as an independent nation.
We may have to sacrifice like the signers did as written:
with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.
