Court: State Trooper Can’t Carry Gun While Off-Duty Due to Mental Health Record

A Pennsylvania court has declared that a state trooper who was previously hospitalized for depression should be banned from possessing firearms while off-duty, but should still be allowed to carry a gun while on-duty, granting him special concession while serving the state which he is not afforded as a private citizen.

The Pennsylvania Superior Court ruled that State Trooper Michael L. Keyes’ involuntary mental health treatment in 2006 bars him from possessing any firearms privately, but he should still be allowed to carry a gun while on official police business, according to Penn Live.
“The dangers inherent in the possession of firearms by the mentally ill are manifest,” Jude Fort Elliott declared. “A present clean bill of health is no guarantee that a relapse is not possible.”
Yet Elliott also stated that Keyes should still be allowed to have a firearm while on-duty as a state trooper, implying that public officials have special status over private citizens.
Keyes was serving as a state trooper when he was ordered into mental health treatment for an alleged depressive episode which led to a suicide attempt.

Even though his mental health provider later cleared him for duty after successful treatment, Keyes fought an uphill legal battle to be reinstated into law enforcement, which he finally won in 2010.
This case reveals how agents of the state, particularly police officers, are allowed to do things that are considered unlawful for private citizens to do.

Police officers routinely give out citations for driving while texting yet their patrol cars are commonly equipped with laptops and other electronic devices which these officers use while driving.
In New York and California, police officers are confiscating firearms from peaceful Americans yet they are more than happy to receive surplus military firepower from the Department of Homeland Security for police use.

On Christmas Day, the ice-strengthened MV Akademik Shokalskiy got stuck in Antarctic ice during her Australasian Antarctic Expedition led by Australian global warming professor Chris Turney.

“Bad news: [Rescue ship] Aurora couldn’t get through,” Turney tweeted earlier today. “Tried twice [but] low visibility and heavy ice. [She's] returning to open water.”
“Try again tomorrow?”
Turney and his team launched this voyage to study “ocean warming” while retracing the route of the original Australasian Antarctic Expedition, which was launched in 1911 by Australian geologist Douglas Mawson.
The 'official web site for the expedition' suggests that the ice in East Antarctica, where the Akademik Shokalskiy is stranded, is threatened by this “warming.”
“There is an increasing body of evidence, including by the AAE members, that have identified parts of the East Antarctic which are highly susceptible to melting and collapse from ocean warming,” the site continues.
But as blogger Anthony Watts points out, Mawson’s team landed in Antarctica under much warmer conditions in 1912:



Additionally, the National Snow & Ice Data Center reports that the current extent of the Antarctic sea ice is two standard deviations above normal:

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration even announced back in September that Antarctic ice reached its largest extent since measurements began in 1979.
Yet Turney’s team is still defiant to these facts even as they stay stranded in record levels of ice that rescue ships have not yet breached.
“Sea ice is disappearing due to climate change,” they announced. “But here it is building up.”

I have said the one big indicator that time is very short is the final ‘smack down’ of gold and silver....that time is now here...the orchestrated economic collapse has begun! Now one must understand that this is a deliberate collapse of the U.S. economy with the oversight of  'our leaders' and the full knowledge of the Justice Departmen and the FED. Most people haven’t a clue the collapse has started,,,. The ‘BIG WAKE UP '’ comes at the end when people  wake up one morning and can’t log in to their bank accounts..... can’t use their ATM cards... and find out that their private pension funds and other assets are now worthless.....Remember that Gold and Sliver are important because they are real money, not Ponzi FED fiat currency.

The U.S. has no inventory of gold, so the prices are manipulated down to cause a sell-off of the physical assets. China is on a buying spree of gold and sliver as are 'those in the know'. Its the very people causing the prices to drop (with paper trading) who are the ones who are also buying the metals at fire sale prices. They will emerge extremely wealthy when the prices rise after the U.S. currency becomes toilet paper. A little research on anyone's part will identify who these people and organizations are.

 The Lamestream media will  blame this on some 'unforeseen event' out of anyone’s control and shout that none saw coming or even thought this could happen. Then 'BOOM' another event will take place concurrent with  or immediately after the economic hit to confuse and compound an already bleeding sheeple.

The government response will be swift with restrictions on travel, business, and even the day to day aspect of everyone's lives.....It will be especially harsh on gun ownership and ANY speech that speaks against the government.....thus will be the end of this blog. WHO: Cancer risk rising around the world; Western medicine failing globally

(NaturalNews) The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued dire new predictions about the spread of cancer throughout the world that prove the Western model of medicine to be a complete failure. Within the next 10 years, the public health arm of the United Nations claims, cancer rates will increase by more than 25 percent, with most of this growth expected to occur in developing countries that have been heavily infiltrated by Western influences.

By 2025, WHO claims, the annual number of new cancer diagnoses is expected to increase by roughly 37 percent, rising from a current annual total of about 14.1 million people to a shocking 19.3 million people. The number of cancer patients that will end up dying from the disease or its corresponding treatment is also expected to rise by about 39 percent, jumping from a current total of about 8.2 million people annually to 11.4 million people.

Specifically in the U.S., the annual number of new cancer cases is expected to increase at a slightly lesser rate than that of the world at large. According to the data, about 1.6 million people are added to the ranks of cancer patients every year in the U.S., a number that is expected to rise by about 31 percent to 2.09 million people annually in 2025. However, cancer deaths are predicted to increase by about 38 percent during the same time period, nearly matching the predicted global increase.

"In most developed countries, cancer is the second largest cause of death after cardiovascular disease, and epidemiological evidence points to this trend emerging in the less developed world," reads a Q&A section about cancer on the WHO website. "This is particularly true in countries in 'transition' or middle-income countries, such as in South America and Asia. Already more than half of all cancer cases occur in developing countries."

Countries developing according to Western standards most prone to cancer

While cancer rates are admittedly rising all across the globe, some of the most afflicted countries include places like China and India that are developing according to Western standards. In India, for instance, U.S.- and European-based biotechnology companies have played a major role in transitioning native cultures to genetically modified organisms (GMOs), which are strongly linked to causing cancer.

The same is true in China, where many modern cities are being patterned after American ones, including similar lifestyle and dietary patterns. Traditional ways of living, including native foods and heirloom agriculture, are being rapidly replaced with consumerism, materialism and everything these things entail -- lots of convenient "junk" foods, minimal physical activity, and of course plenty of Western drugs and surgery.

"It's by design," wrote one McClatchy commenter. "GMO food causes cancer (and the prevailing depopulationists and eugenicists know it because they created the stuff). Same with cancer-causing vaccines. Same with polluted air. Same with fluoridated water (fluoride is proven to increase bone cancer risk). BPA in the plastics, on printed receipts, in our environment and in our very clothing are estrogen-mimickers that increase breast cancer and can cause men to be sterilized and feminized."

Not surprisingly, WHO officials have been silent about all these known factors associated with cancer. And speaking on behalf of the International Agency for Research on Cancer, a similar international health organization, head of cancer information Dr. David Forman told the media that tobacco and alcohol -- and basically nothing else -- are the two primary drivers of cancer, an ignorant and entirely preposterous notion that reeks of an ulterior agenda.

"Western culture and its associated illnesses are spreading across the globe," summed up another intelligent McClatchy commenter.

McDonald's site tells workers not to eat at McDonald's

McDonald's has shut down an employee resource website after yet another controversial post.
The McResource Line site is meant to provide finance and healthy living advice to employees. But it might have been a little too honest with this post, telling workers to skip unhealthy fast food options — like essentially everything McDonald's sells. (Via CNN)
CNN snapped those shots before the website was taken down. Now, it looks like this.
And a media statement on McDonald's main site says: "we’ve directed the vendor to take down the website. Between links to irrelevant or outdated information, along with outside groups taking elements out of context, this created unwarranted scrutiny and inappropriate commentary. None of this helps our McDonald’s team members."

In just the last twelve months Congressional members and top-level administrators at the Department of Homeland Security have warned of threats to the national power grid so serious that should they occur life in America as we have come to know it would change almost instantly.
Former DHS head Janet Napolitano, in a letter to her successor, advised that “a massive and serious cyber attack” on the US Homeland is imminent and that a “natural disaster — the likes of which the nation has never seen — is also likely on its way.” This was followed up by a comment from House Homeland Security Committee senior member Yvette Clarke (D-NY) who noted that, “the likelihood of a severe geo-magnetic event capable of crippling our electric grid is 100%.”
Couple those threats with the realistic possibility of a rogue or state-sponsored attack on America by way of a super electro-magnetic pulse weapon, and the odds of a widespread American Blackout increase dramatically.
With our complete dependence on the power grid to maintain the regular flow of commerce, communications, and emergency services, even a short-term grid-down event could lead to serious consequences.
According to a report commissioned by the Department of Homeland Security which cites data from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the infrastructure supporting our power grid is so outdated and vulnerable that an attack or natural disaster could lead to an outage scenario of unprecedented scale.
If you live in or around any of these areas you can expect a societal breakdown within72 hours or less – and with traffic systems inoperable and roadways likely jammed, there’ll likely be no way out.

The core of our grid – what makes it tick – are the transformers that pass power from one node to the next. These often weigh in the hundreds of tons. Most are no longer produced in the United States, so any damage would require the importation of parts or complete units from China. If one or two go down, the outage is manageable. But a cascading collapse resulting from extreme electrical surges across our power lines, such as those originating from an EMP attack or solar flare, could result in scores of transformers being put out of service simultaneously.

There are roughly 300 of these mega-transformers that make up the backbone of America’s electrical infrastructure. At current world production rates it could take anywhere from 12 – 18 months to manufacture and deliver a new unit if it is destroyed.

- More than 300 EHV transformers destroyed
- 130 million people lacking power for several years until damaged high-voltage transformers are replaced

All things considered, the restoration of power across the United States in such a scenario would be 4 to 10 years.
Chris Carrington of The Daily Sheeple highlights the fall-out and what we can expect if the threat to our power grid is ever realized:

We have become so reliant on electricity in the last 200 years, it’s difficult to imagine life without it. Those who rely on refrigerated medications would be hard hit within hours of the power going off, as would those who rely on regular oxygen cylinder deliveries to their homes.
The usual back up power in hospitals is 72 hours. After that life support machines and operating rooms will cease to function.
Pumps at gas stations will no longer dispense fuel affecting everything from the family car to the food supply.
Water treatment and pumping stations will cease to function, again this will affect a wide range of services we take for granted, drinking water, sanitation and even firefighting will be limited or non-existent for millions. Contestation over water in lakes and rivers will be a source of ongoing conflict for years after the event.
Many factories that make parts for transformers will not be able to do so, leaving the United States at the mercy of foreign powers for transformers and parts. (If those countries have not been affected by the event themselves.)
The very fabric of the only society we know will come to a grinding halt within a week of the grid going down.

We know it would be mere days before panic, looting and rioting took hold. Law and order would fall apart.
Based on previous studies, we know that out of those 130 million people east of the Mississippi who would be affected by such an outage, 117 million would be dead within a year.
Unless you have nearly unlimited financial resources, stockpiling supplies for a four to ten-year grid down scenario is pretty much out of the question. But you can take the brunt of that first year and beyond if you prepare ahead of time.

Men, women and children will be taken from their homes to temporary holding facilities. All three groups will be separated, processed and sent to by rail or by bus to more permanent holding facilities.

When the DHS bus rolls into your neighborhood, are you prepared to deal with what lies ahead? Let’s assume for a second that Obama attempts a third false flag, like the two has attempted in the past several months, and he is successful. Subsequently, martial law is fully declared. I have always said that the order of things to come will be false flag events, followed by martial law and culminating in WWIII.

Phase One: Preemptively Removing Dissident Leaders

Using history as an example, if a martial law government determined that the population might rise up, it would be prudent to remove the potential dissident leaders. The Gestapo and the KGB employed the same tactics in which they would arrive at a residence at 3AM, initiate a forced entry into a home, move to quickly gag and bound the family, quickly usher them out to a waiting vehicle and quickly transport the targets to a remote location for final disposition.
How do you know if you are a potential target for immediate elimination once martial law is declared? The short answer is that you cannot be certain. Former NSA agent, the late A.C. Griffith, once stated that we are all assigned a threat matrix score and categorized on the NSA’s ability to track your movements, rate your web surfing habits, track your proximity to other known dissidents through cell phone movement matching and quantitatively and qualitatively monitor your electronic communications. Every one of us has a threat matrix score which is assigned by the NSA. What we do not know is how we compare to everyone else and what will be the cutoff point which would increase the danger for some. Certainly, former military leaders who have been shown the door by Obama are at extreme risk because of their potential to organize guerrilla forces. Key members of the alternative media would be another primary target as well those people who would immediately fill an opposition leadership role after the removal of the original opposition leaders.
For the people taken in this matter, along with their families, the survival rate will be very low. For those dissidents who manage to avoid being taken in the initial purge, your facial image will be uploaded to every traffic and security camera plugged into the NSA system. Detection and arrest will be short-lived except for those who have help or are located in very remote areas.

Phase Two: Mass Roundups

If you are unlucky enough to be located in an area to be considered to have the potential to mount a resistance against the unfolding tyranny (e.g. high number of registered gun owners, high number of veterans, Tea Party members, etc.), mass round ups will be conducted.
In what form will the roundups take place? This is an easy answer. In the aftermath of the Boston Marathon Bombings, martial law troops invaded Boston and provided us with the DHS version of roundups. The DHS oppressors came in the early morning hours. The perimeter of a city block was sealed off by ground troops and an armored personnel carrier. A dozen, or so, storm troopers would approach a house and empty the house of its inhabitants without allowing any time to change or the opportunity to bring any personal items. The troops would start on opposite sides of the street with one group working a north-south directional seizure of residents, while the other group would work in the opposite direction. Therefore, if anyone attempted to run, they would be pushed toward the other group of soldiers coming in the opposite direction. This happened over and over again in Boston. The arresting troops were supported by a heavily armed personnel carrier.

Disposition of Family Members

Your family members will be separated by the authorities as a prelude to sending you to their detention facilities, and that means that men will go to one facility, and women will go to another. Children will have their own facility awaiting them as well. Remember, the state owns your children and they have declared so in their Agenda 21 documents. In all likelihood, this will mark the last time you will ever see your family. Stroke: Anti-clotting pill can double the risk of stroke inpatients with faulty heartbeat

Warfarin, originally developed as a rat poison, is the most commonly prescribed oral anti-clotting agent in the UK.
Scientists carrying out the new research analysed data on 70,766 adult patients diagnosed with atrial fibrillation (AF), which occurs when the heart pumps haphazardly instead of with a steady beat.
AF leads to blood pooling, thereby increasing the risk of clotting and strokes.

Over a 10 year period, 5,519 of the patients suffered a stroke. The study found during the first 30 days of treatment, warfarin increased the risk ischaemic stroke - one caused by the blockage of blood flow to the brain - by 71 per cent.
The risk peaked on the third day after starting warfarin, when patients on the drug were more than twice as likely to have a stroke than those not treated with it.
Patients with a previous history of ischaemic stroke were 2.5 times more at risk of another stroke during the first month taking warfarin.

Lead researcher Dr Laurent Azoulay, from McGill University in Canada, said: 'There is no question that warfarin is highly effective in preventing strokes in patients with atrial fibrillation. Thus, our finding that the initiation of warfarin may be associated with an increased risk of stroke should not deter physicians and patients from using this drug, since this likely affects a small number of patients.
'Future studies should confirm our results, and identify the small subset of patients who may be at risk. However, the results of our study suggest that physicians should be vigilant when initiating warfarin, particularly in the first week of use.'
The findings, published in the European Heart Journal, suggested that patients with 'hypercoagulable' states whose blood clotted easily were most at risk.
Warfarin blocks the action of four clotting factors in the blood. But it also deactivates two other proteins, C and S, which are natural anticoagulants.
Rapid depletion of protein C in particular might lead to a temporary hypercoagulable state, said the scientists.
Co-author Professor Samy Suissa, also from McGill University, said: 'While these findings need to be confirmed in other settings, it would be imperative to also investigate whether the newer popular anticoagulants also carry this early risk.'
He suggested offering an injected anti-clotting drug, heparin, to patients starting warfarin treatment to counteract the increased risk of stroke. Heparin is routinely given to hospital patients who have undergone surgery.

Critics argue that the move will intimidate parents, stating that parents want more choice. They feel that instead of bullying parents and making them feel as if big brother is watching them, the government should reintroduce the single vaccinations as an alternative to the MMR.

Parents Want Information and Choices

The Daily Mail reported:

Under Department of Health plans, parents who refuse MMR would receive a general practitioner’s letter. 

Doctors or nurses would then use an information pack sent by the Department of Health to 35,000 staff to make the case for the vaccine, says a report in the Nursing Standard journal. 

A Department of Health spokesman said the plan was just one of a range of options being discussed in a move to get the message across. 

He said, ‘Our research shows that parents want more information about MMR and that is what we are intending to provide.’

Jackie Fletcher, from the vaccination campaign group JABS, whose son was awarded £90,000 after suffering severe brain damage as a result of the MMR, told the Mail that:

Parents don’t trust the government’s advice on this, so why are they going to trust a doctor who is just going to read out what he’s been told to say?

Mrs. Fletcher joins the growing number of parents calling for single vaccines and told reporters that parents want choice, not lectures.

I felt that the first section of the rubella single vaccine leaflet was so unsavory that I would include it in full:

MERUVAX® II (Rubella Virus Vaccine Live) is a live virus vaccine for vaccination against rubella (German measles). 

MERUVAX® II is a sterile lyophilized preparation of the Wistar Institute RA 27/3 strain of live attenuated rubella virus. The virus was adapted to and propagated in WI-38 human diploid lung fibroblasts. 

The growth medium is Minimum Essential Medium (MEM) [a buffered salt solution containing vitamins and amino acids and supplemented with fetal bovine serum] containing human serum albumin and neomycin. Sorbitol and hydrolyzed gelatin stabilizer are added to the individual virus harvests. 

The cells, virus pools, fetal bovine serum, and human albumin are all screened for the absence of adventitious agents. Human albumin is processed using the Cohn cold ethanol fractionation procedure. 

The reconstituted vaccine is for subcutaneous administration. Each 0.5 mL dose contains not less than 1,000 TCID50 (tissue culture infectious doses) of rubella virus. 

Each dose of the vaccine is calculated to contain sorbitol (14.5 mg), sodium phosphate, sucrose (1.9 mg), sodium chloride, hydrolyzed gelatin (14.5 mg), human albumin (0.3 mg), fetal bovine serum. 

Before reconstitution, the lyophilized vaccine is a light yellow compact crystalline plug. MERUVAX® II, when reconstituted as directed, is clear yellow.

According to the fact sheet, adverse reactions to this vaccination appear extensive and include:

Anaphylaxis and anaphylactoid reactions have been reported, as well as related phenomena such as angioneurotic edema (including peripheral or facial edema) and bronchial spasm in individuals with or without an allergic history.

Death from various, and in some cases unknown, causes has been reported rarely following vaccination with measles, mumps, and rubella vaccines.

These are the adverse reactions that Merck will actually admit to; of course, the real list of side effects is probably far longer. As the list was so extensive, I copied it directly from the fact sheet. I particularly loved the way that Merck added ‘death’ at the end under the heading entitled ‘other’ as if they thought they had better add it in as an extra to cover themselves.

The upside to all this, of course, is if your child does come through this vaccination unscathed, then according to our governments, the medical profession and the pharmaceutical industry, your children are unlikely to catch rubella. But then again, there is no guarantee.

Single Measles Vaccine Has Been a Major Safety Concern for Decades

The ingredients of the single measles vaccine manufactured by Sanofi are as impressive as the ingredients of the rubella vaccine and include hyperattenuated live measles virus, human albumin, neomycin, lactose, and others. [4]

The single measles vaccine fairs no better as far as adverse reactions are concerned, either. The list of reactions seems endless and includes:

• Redness
• Local pain
• Swelling at the injection site
• Allergic reactions such as rash and urticaria
• Anaphylactic shock
• A rise in temperature to around 38-39 degrees C
• A temporary rash may occur 5-12 days after vaccination
• Erythema multiforme

• Inflammation of the throat
• Eye infection: may occur 5-12 days after immunization
• High fever (over 103 degrees F/39.4 degrees C)
• Diarrhea
• Transient convulsions

There have been major safety concerns surrounding the single measles vaccine for decades. In 2010, I discovered secret government documents revealing that the UK government had been aware from as far back as 1972 that the measles vaccine was causing children to suffer from the debilitating neurological disorder subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE).

SSPE is a degenerative neurological condition which affects a person’s behavior, memory and coordination, leading to fits, blindness and eventually death.

At Least Two Single Mumps Vaccines Have Been Banned

Early in 2012, I wrote an article stating that the single mumps vaccine Medi-Mumps was available in private clinics from June 2012. [6]

Medi-Mumps, manufactured by Almac Pharma, was said to be cultured on canine kidney cells instead of chick embryos, making it suitable for those children allergic to eggs, but sadly, my research found that instead it appeared to be less suitable for those children allergic to dogs.

For those of you who are unaware, although the mumps vaccine was available in private clinics until 2009, it was only being offered as an unlicensed product. This was because if a parent specifically requests a single vaccine, a private clinic needs to apply to the MHRA for permission to use an unlicensed product in the patient’s name.

Ms. Blears referenced this in the Hansard document dated December 4, 2002:

Single mumps vaccines being prescribed and administered, as part of single measles, mumps and rubella vaccination programs such as MMR SepVax, are unlicensed imported medicines. Medicine legislation allows a doctor or dentist to prescribe an unlicensed medicine to meet the special clinical needs of his individual patients, on his direct personal responsibility. [7]

Medi-Mumps has since been banned.

Was Medi-Mumps Banned Due To VacTruth’s Intervention?

Interestingly, since VacTruth’s intervention and a letter sent to the MHRA by an interested party, Medi-Mumps is no longer available at private clinics. [8, 9]

This is probably because our article mentioned the fact that Medi-Mumps was extremely similar to the banned mumps vaccine Pavivac that had also been cultured on canine kidney cells and manufactured in the Czech Republic.

However, Pavivac had been rejected by the CSM (Committee on the Safety of Medicines) in 2002 due to safety concerns. [10]

Shortly after the VacTruth article was published and the letter was sent by an interested party, it appears that the UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) carried out an investigation into the MediMumps vaccine. In September 2012, they released the following statement:

The MHRA was made aware of information presented on the Children’s Immunisation Centre (CIC) website about Medi-Mumps and a related press release. The MHRA was concerned that the information provided an unbalanced view of the safety and efficacy of the vaccine because it did not mention the MHRA’s concerns and previous CSM advice or that the product was unlicensed. 

We understood that the Medi-Mumps vaccine is manufactured from the same stock and processed in the same way as Pavivac mumps vaccine. The MHRA, acting on advice from an independent advisory committee, the Committee on Safety of Medicines (CSM), has for a number of years objected to the importation of the Pavivac product because there is insufficient information available to assure its safety, quality and efficacy. CIC amended the websites to remove the information about Medi-Mumps.

Since Medi-Mumps and Pavivac vaccines were banned, single mumps vaccines have become thin on the ground.

Therefore, I have been unable to give a long list of adverse reactions, but that does not mean that single mumps vaccines do not produce any.

Conclusion

It is apparent that our vaccinations include some very strange and unsavoury ingredients. The three single vaccines were certainly not the only vaccines I came across containing parts of animals, humans and insects. In fact, I found a huge list of them on a PDF which I have included as extra research.

For some reason, many parents are perfectly happy to have their tiny babies vaccinated with everything from insect cells to pigs’ gelatin, without a moment’s hesitation, arguing that the vaccines are to protect their children and keep them strong and healthy. Others remain totally unaware of the vaccines’ contents and may have religions banning abortions and the consumption of many of the vaccines contents.

I believe that:

1. Parents should be given the product insert to read in full before they have their child vaccinated.
2. Parents should be made fully aware of what the vaccine contains before vaccination.
3. Parents should be made fully aware of all possible adverse reactions the vaccine can cause.
4. Parents should sign a consent form before their child is vaccinated.

Like Jackie Fletcher, I believe that parents should be allowed to have choices, not only between the MMR vaccine or the single vaccines, but also whether or not they wish to have their child vaccinated at all.

North Carolina mom files lawsuit after son is sent home from hospital dead in a taxi

(UPI) --A North Carolina mother is suing AlliedBarton Security Services after she says they put her son in a taxi and sent him home even though he was already dead.

Hospital security guards sent, A'Darrin Washington, who they claimed was "uncooperative" and "refusing to talk or move," home from Cumberland County Hospital on Nov. 22, 2011.
A'Darrin had been going to the hospital for 10 years for treatment for recurrent pneumonia associated with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. On Nov. 14, A'Darrin was admitted to the hospital and misdiagnosed with bacterial pneumonia.
After he was correctly diagnosed with fungal pneumonia and given the proper medication, the hospital said he was ready to be discharged on Nov. 21 even though he was still feeling weak and ill.
When hospital called a taxi service to take A'Darrin home the next day, AlliedBarton Security guards moved him from a wheelchair and into the cab, according to his mother.
"(A) nurse called for security to escort Mr. Washington from his hospital bed to the lobby for discharge because Mr. Washington was allegedly 'uncooperative' and 'refusing to talk or move,'" the complaint states. "Mr. Washington was unresponsive due to the fact that he was dying."
Deborah Washington claims that the guards put her son in the taxi and even crossed his legs. When he arrived at home after a 45-minute trip, he was "unresponsive and cold to the touch."
She is seeking compensatory and punitive damages for negligence, wrongful death and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

Prescription drugs may now be the top cause of accidental death in America

Death by Modern Medicine: Seeking Safe Solutions, written by Dr. Carolyn Dean, outlines the statistics and issues within several other categories of prescription drugs that have caused deaths despite being properly prescribed and used.

Dr. Dean's latest book has uncovered even more statistics of iatrogenic (medically caused) death than her original paper "Death by Medicine." The death toll has gone up to almost 900,000 annually from various areas that include hospital stays, surgeries, incorrect or unnecessary procedures and prescriptions.

But the highest death toll comes with adverse reactions from "correctly prescribed" medications and procedures. [1]

Over the counter drugs (OTC) haven't been included in these statistics, but OTC sleeping pills and Tylenol (acetaminophen) are responsible for many more ER visits and deaths. Also not included are permanent disabilities from vaccines and other drugs.

The numbers are probably worse than any statistical reports, as not all adverse reactions are actually reported.

Regardless of Dr. Dean's and others' offered solutions, the actual solution probably won't come until the whole edifice of the medical mafia finally crumbles with enough health-conscious people abandoning it, by self-educating and living healthier lifestyles while seeking natural medical solutions.

The prescribed painkiller quandary

Oxycodone is the main opioid ingredient of OxyContin, a synthetic offshoot of heroin. Oxycodone ingredients were once a last-ditch solution for usually terminal cancer patient pain when morphine failed. That was a couple of decades ago.

Since then, oxycodone opioids have been used in several prescription drugs that have been successfully marketed to overcome original resistance to prescribing potentially addictive painkillers. Now, they're being prescribed too often and too easily.

And the overdose death toll has skyrocketed to over 15,000, more than street heroin and cocaine combined. [2] [3]

By the way, late-stage cancer patients have used various forms of full-cannabinoid hemp (including THC) to relieve pain from cancer and cure it without addiction. It can't be patented, so Big Pharma wants to keep it from competing with its high-profit patented drugs, and it's still mostly illegal. But that's beginning to change, slowly.

In 2010, 254 million opioid prescriptions were filled in the USA. Shortly after that report, the CDC estimated that health insurers forked over several billion dollars for health care costs related to prescription painkillers' adverse effects.

Meanwhile, Big Pharma raked in over $11 billion in revenue from opioid sales, with Purdue Pharma's OxyContin, for which they were once fined $635 million for false advertising, pulling in over $3 billion of that. [3]

So who are getting all these prescriptions? A lot of prescriptions, driven by oxycodone addicts, are obtained illegally or creatively. One such notorious, hypocritical example is Rush Limbaugh's incredible oxycodone, mostly OxyContin, addiction.

Hypocritical because, for a few years up until Limbaugh got busted for obtaining and using massive amounts of oxycodone through multiple doctor resources, he often railed on air about throwing drug users in jail, even while he was high on illegally obtained OxyContin. Suspiciously, the charges were dropped or reduced from felonies. [4]

Other painkillers, like Percocet, Vicodin and fentanyl, contain some variation of oxycodone, chemically close to heroin. But OxyContin is almost pure oxycodone. It's the strongest and most addictive. The others include either some aspirin or acetaminophen (Tylenol), also unhealthy with long-term use.

Even those who have experienced enough severe pain to warrant oxycodone become addicted and experience terrible withdrawals if they try to kick the painkillers. [4]

First-time jobless claims climb by 10,000 in week

WASHINGTON, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- First-time unemployment benefits claims rose by 10,000 to 379,000 in the week ending Saturday, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said Thursday.The department also revised the previous week's jump in claims from 368,000 to 369,000, which puts the two week total at 79,000 fresh claims for benefits.
The four-week rolling average of first-time unemployment benefits claims rose by 13,250 to 343,500.

The largest increases in initial claims for the week ending December 7 were in California with a gain of 12,876, New York with 14,322 additional claims and Pennsylvania with 14,004.
The largest decreases were in Ohio, Kentucky and Vermont with declines of 1,095, 838 and 400, respectively.

Orlando is a seeing eye dog. Orlando is also a hero.

“The dog saved my life,” Cecil Williams, a 61-year-old resident of New York City, told the Associated Press from his hospital bed.

Williams began to faint while standing on the subway platform on Tuesday morning, at which point his dog, Orlando, reportedly made an effort to hold him up and stop him from tumbling onto the tracks. When Williams did fall on the tracks, Orlando leapt down and tried to make Williams move.
Witnesses said Orlando would not leave Williams’ side, even with a train quickly approaching. When the train arrived, Williams and Orlando managed to lay beneath it, avoiding death.
The cynical old Curmudgeon got this far, and while wiping away a tear at the heroics of Orlando – we are hard core dog people, cats are “the other white meat” – we took a breath and said “so what”?
Well, here’s what.
At nearly 11 years old, Orlando is approaching the retirement age for seeing eye dogs, and Williams said he will have to put the dog up for adoption since his health insurance will no longer cover the cost. Williams said he would “definitely keep” Orlando if he had the money.
We’re a family site, you’ll just have to guess at our commentary stream upon reading that.
We’re sure Mr. Williams has the important coverage that the Imperial President knows he needs, because the Imperial President is a Know-Better. If only Mr. Williams needed birth control, a mammogram, or an abortion.
Could Mr. Williams appeal the heartless decision of his insurance company (they’re definitely bad apples)? Well, probably not…

But then again that was about a little girl, so maybe the Secretary of Death Panels could open her heart to a doggie. Oh GOD!!! We’re getting senile!!

Former Top NSA Official: “We Are Now In A Police State”

Bill Binney is the high-level NSA executive who created the agency’s mass surveillance program for digital information. A 32-year NSA veteran widely regarded as a “legend” within the agency, Binney was the senior technical director within the agency and managed thousands of NSA employees.

Binney has been interviewed by virtually all of the mainstream media, including CBS, ABC, CNN, New York Times, USA Today, Fox News, PBS and many others.
Last year, Binney held his thumb and forefinger close together, and said:

We are, like, that far from a turnkey totalitarian state.

But today, Binney told Washington’s Blog that the U.S. has already become a police state.
By way of background, the government is spying on virtually everything we do.
All of the information gained by the NSA through spying is then shared with federal, state and local agencies, and they are using that information to prosecute petty crimes such as drugs and taxes. The agencies are instructed to intentionally “launder” the information gained through spying, i.e. to pretend that they got the information in a more legitimate way … and to hide that from defense attorneys and judges.
This is a bigger deal than you may realize, as legal experts say that there are so many federal and state laws in the United States, that no one can keep track of them all … and everyone violates laws every day without even knowing it.
The NSA also ships Americans’ most confidential, sensitive information to foreign countries like Israel(and here), the UK and other countries … so they can “unmask” the information and give it back to the NSA … or use it for their own purposes.
Binney told us today:

The main use of the collection from these [NSA spying] programs [is] for law enforcement. [See the 2 slides below].
These slides give the policy of the DOJ/FBI/DEA etc. on how to use the NSA data. In fact, they instruct that none of the NSA data is referred to in courts – cause it has been acquired without a warrant.
So, they have to do a “Parallel Construction” and not tell the courts or prosecution or defense the original data used to arrest people. This I call: a “planned programed perjury policy” directed by US law enforcement.
And, as the last line on one slide says, this also applies to “Foreign Counterparts.”
This is a total corruption of the justice system not only in our country but around the world. The source of the info is at the bottom of each slide. This is a totalitarian process – means we are now in a police state.

You say “this also applies to ‘Foreign Counterparts.’” Does that mean that foreign agencies can also “launder” the info gained from NSA spying? Or that data gained through foreign agencies’ spying can be “laundered” and used by U.S. agencies?

Binney responded:

For countries like the five eyes (US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand) and probably some others it probably works both ways. But for others that have relationships with FBI or DEA etc., they probably are given the data to used to arrest people but are not told the source or given copies of the data.

Texas Court Rules Warrants Can be Obtained on ‘Predictions of Future Crimes’

A ruling by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals last week opens the door for Texas law enforcement to obtain search warrants “based on predictions of the commission of future crimes,” an appeals judge has stated.

The ruling came in the 2010 case of a man who police allege was “fixing to” cook methamphetamine. Parker County police had been staking out suspect Michael Fred Wehren’s house for over a month.
When an informant tipped them off that Wehren and others were preparing to manufacture a batch of meth, police entered the home after midnight and detained Wehren and his friends outside his home in handcuffs.
Police then entered the home and located pseudoephedrine, stripped lithium batteries and other materials typically used to cook meth.
Only after police illegally entered Wehren’s home did they secure a search warrant from a judge. Of course, their request made sure not to mention the fact they had already entered the house and seized what they were looking for.
During trial, Wehrenberg’s lawyers argued the evidence was inadmissible as it had been obtained through deceptive, unconstitutional means.
“The motion was denied,” writes Eric Nicholson for the Dallas Observer, adding, “the trial court cited federal ‘independent source doctrine,’ which allows illegally seized evidence a third party told them about beforehand — and Wehrenberg pleaded guilty to one count of possession and one count of intent to manufacture, getting five years in prison.”
Wehren’s lawyers appealed the verdict to the Second Court of Appeals in Fort Worth on the grounds that evidence used to convict him should have initially been excluded.
While that court sided with Wehren’s lawyers, judges with the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, which ultimately has the final say, agreed with the trial court’s decision, saying the confidential informant’s tip could be construed as being within the guidelines of the federal “independent source doctrine.”
One judge offered a sound basis for dissenting with the majority, ominously concluding the ruling meant “search warrants may now be based on predictions of the commission of future crimes.”
“There was more than enough time to secure a search warrant before the officers’ intrusion into the premises, but they deliberately chose not to attempt to obtain it until after they had conducted the unlawful entry,” wrote Judge Lawrence E. Meyers in his dissenting opinion.
“Further, had the officers entered the home and found the occupants only baking cupcakes, the officers would not have bothered to then obtain the warrant at all. It was only after unlawfully entering and finding suspicious activity that they felt the need to then secure the warrant in order to cover their tracks and collect the evidence without the taint of their entry.”
“Further,” Meyers continued, “even if the search warrant was based exclusively on the confidential informant’s information, it still would not be valid. The informant’s tip that Appellant and his group were ‘fixing to’ cook methamphetamine that evening was a prediction of a future crime rather than an assertion that a crime was being or had been committed. Probable cause for a search warrant cannot be based on anticipation of a prospective crime.”

The NSA started mass spying on Americans before 9/11 … and various excuses have been used over the years.
The NSA was already spying on American Senators and prominent Americans who spoke out against the Vietnam War more than 40 years ago.
The NSA has also been conducting industrial espionage for many decades. 
There is no evidence that mass surveillance has prevented a single terrorist attack. And see thisconfirming opinion by a federal judge. On the contrary, top counter-terror experts say that mass spyingactually hurts U.S. counter-terror efforts (more here and here).
If NSA spying were really focused on terrorism, our allies and companies wouldn’t be fighting back so hard against it.

That has nothing to do with terrorism. Indeed, a confidential government memo admits that the spying didn’t help prevent terrorism:

The memo acknowledges that eavesdropping on the numbers had produced “little reportable intelligence”.

The NSA is also spying on the biggest financial payments systems such as VISA and Swift.
In a slide leaked by Edward Snowden, “economic” was one of the main justifications for spying.
The top U.S. spy’s justification for such financial spying is:

“We collect this information for many important reasons: for one, it could provide the United States and our allies early warning of international financial crises which could negatively impact the global economy. It also could provide insight into other countries’ economic policy or behavior which could affect global markets.”

(Top financial experts say that the NSA and other intelligence agencies are also using the information toprofit from this inside information. And the NSA wants to ramp up its spying on Wall Street … to “protect” it.)

Diplomatic Manipulation

Spying on allies such as the United Nations, European Union, the European Parliament, the G20 summit, the Vatican and the Pope, and at least 35 world leaders is obviously at least partially aimed at gaining advantage in diplomatic negotiations.
Indeed, the United States Trade Representative is one of the “customers” of NSA data.

Social Control

History shows that mass spying is always focused on crushing dissent… not on keeping us safe.
High-level American government officials have warned for 40 years that mass surveillance would lead to tyranny.   They’ve warned that the government is using information gained through mass surveillance in order to go after anyone they take a dislike to.
A lieutenant colonel for the Stasi East German’s – based upon his experience – agrees. And German Chancellor Angela Merkel – who grew up in Stasi Germany – says the NSA is exactly the same.  Indeed, top American constitutional experts say that the Obama and Bush administration are not only worse than Nixon … but worse than the Stasi East Germans. They also say that NSA spying is exactly the type of oppression that the Founding Fathers launched the Revolutionary War to stop. And see this.
The NSA tracks users’ porn … to discredit them … just like J. Edgar Hoover did in the bad old days of the FBI.  The NSA shares this information with a host of other agencies, such as the Departments of Justice and Commerce and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
(Indeed – as previously reported – all of the information gained by the NSA through spying is shared with federal, state and local agencies, and they are using that information to prosecute petty crimes such as drugs and taxes. The agencies are instructed to intentionally “launder” the information gained through spying, i.e. to pretend that they got the information in a more legitimate way … and to hide that from defense attorneys and judges.)
TechDirt points out:

It’s important to note here that the “targets” in this case are not US persons, and they all do appear to dislike the US, and some appear to have advocated for jihad against the US. However, as the report notes, most of them are not terrorists or even connected to any terrorist organization. They’re just activists and advocates who have spoken out criticizing the US. In one case, a guy was targeted for claiming that “the U.S. brought the 9/11 attacks upon itself” — an argument that plenty of respectable people have made.The lack of any terrorist connection is actually, stunningly, used againstthese individuals, as one NSA document notes that since they don’t communicate with terrorists it’s worse because it suggests “that the target audience includes individuals who do not yet hold extremist views but who are susceptible to the extremist message.”
