On Tuesday, Obama for America, the president's campaign arm, scheduled a rally for climate change at Georgetown Waterfront in Washington, D.C., but no one attended the rally, the Washington Free Beacon reported.
The Free Beacon said that rain apparently kept attendees away.
"The embarrassing showing follows the news that only one volunteer stayed for an OFA Obamacare event in Centreville, Va., last week to work the phones," the Free Beacon added.
Fox columnist Phil Kerpen tweeted that the page promoting the event was scrubbed from the OFA website.
Conservative blogger Moe Lane said the embarrassing turnout shows that global warming -- or climate change, as it is referred to now -- is not exactly high on anyone's list of priorities, despite the administration's efforts.
"The polling is consistent," he wrote, "global warming – or climate change, or whatever the latest buzzword is/will be – is at the bottom of any list of things that people worry about, or prioritize."
Lane went on to say that OFA doesn't really want to discuss the issue.
"It’s just that the two things that they should be talking about – the economy, and health care – are also two things that OfA does not dare talk about, largely because President Barack Obama clearly has no idea how to go about repairing the damage that he’s caused to either," he added.
The National Republican Congressional Committee echoed that sentiment, saying Democrats refuse to discuss jobs and the economy, the two things voters really care about.
"While they may be distracted by their own sideshow liberal agenda, the American people are paying attention, and don’t like what they see," the NRCC added.
Meanwhile, Twitchy said, OFA held rallies in other cities, attracting "tens" of people in an effort to browbeat GOP officials into adopting their agenda with "Climate Denier Awards."
