Did you know ON THIS DATE in 1967, the ISRAELI government ordered its warplanes and attack boats to sink the AMERICAN ship USS LIBERTY? The Israeli planes attacked the American reconnaissance ship for several hours killing 34 American soldiers and maiming almost 200 American men. Israeli boats gunned down American survivors in lifeboats while Israeli planes dropped napalm on the deck burning American soldiers alive.
