‘Strawberry Flavor’ Consists of 50 Different Chemicals

What goes into mimicking the flavor a strawberry? Well, instead of simply using real strawberry, food manufacturers have decided to opt for a much cheaper (and toxic) method of creating what has come to be known as ‘strawberry flavor‘. The chemical concoction consists of 50 different chemical ingredients, many of which could be threatening to your health.

Processed foods, and even many foods pushed as ‘wholesome’ oftentimes contain this synthetic strawberry flavor (among many others). Opting to save money in blatant disregard for public health, the highly complex chemical formulas consist of a long list of substances including amyl acetate, benzyl isobutyrate, and phenethyl alcohol. And this is but one ‘flavoring’ used in the food supply.

Other ‘foods’ like McDonald’s chicken McNuggets follow a similar trend, with the ‘meat’ of the nuggets alone being made up of over 7 different ingredients — many with their own ‘sub-ingredients’. While the list is quite extensive, some of the most concerning ingredients compromising the ‘meat’ of the nuggets are autolyzed yeast extract and dimethylpolysiloxane.

Autolyzed yeast is quite similar to MSG, an artificial sweetener that wreaks havoc on your health. Dimethylpolysiloxane , on the other hand, is actually a type of silicone — the same ingredient used in breast implants and silly putty. Amazingly, dimethylpolysiloxane has even been phased out as a breast plant filler due to serious safety concerns. That’s right, the ingredient is so dangerous that its usage in breast plant production was perdominantly halted. Meanwhile, this food abomination is marketed specifically towards children.
